You said you had broken boot files, this is how you rewrite them. I actually got it wrong after I checked again. It said that there is an object in the boot sector.
The process for fixing this is the same as the steps you provided? From the advanced startup options try startup repair system restore and the command prompt to rebuild the BCD.
If those fail go back to the Troubleshooting options to try a reset which will save your files. If that fails I will help you rescue your files and clean install. Alright I'll give this a try, thank you very much. Unfortunately I am away from my PC for a few weeks so I'll have to attempt it after that time but I've saved the link you provided me.
